(as follows, the “Company”, “we” or “us” in this Privacy Policy) values you as a customer and is committed to safeguarding your personal and financial information.  We intend at all times to handle your information in compliance with applicable privacy laws including the Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation, and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act.

1. What kinds of Personal Information do we collect?

We only collect information necessary to fulfill its identified purpose and such information shall only be disclosed for the purpose for which it is collected. Information we collect, use, and store, depends on the service you request.
We may collect information from you that is necessary for our identified purposes (“Personal Information”), which may include:
- your name or business information;
- date of birth;
- email address;
- telephone numbers;
- address,
- location information;
- technical information, including your login information, device type and unique device identifier, IP address, operating system, browser type, network information, time zone setting and usage details;
- your precise or approximate location information as determined through data such as GPS, IP address and Wi-Fi, in order to provide location-based services. You may opt out from this feature by changing the settings on your browser or device. However, this may affect or interrupt the functionality of our Sites;
- we may also use cookies and other technologies to collect information (including location information) when you visit our website; and
- any further such information that may be necessary for our identified purposes and that is collected with your consent or as permitted or required by law;

2. Why do we collect Personal Information?

We collect Personal Information to identify you, process your transactions, protect you and us from fraud and error, comply with legal requirements, and to help us better match products and services to your needs.

3. Consent

Ordinarily we ask for consent to collect, use or disclose Personal Information, except in specific circumstances where collection, use or disclosure without consent is authorized or required by law. Consent to the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information may be given in various ways. Consent can be expressed or implied. In some circumstances, where notice has been provided to you about our intentions in respect to your Personal Information and you have not withdrawn consent, you will be considered to have consented for the purposes identified and described to you.


The Company may use or disclose your Personal Information, without prior notice to you, only if required to do so in accordance with applicable laws and/or in a good faith belief that such action is deemed necessary or is required to maintain, safeguard or preserve our rights and property or to detect and prevent fraud.


You may withdraw consent to the use and disclosure of Personal Information at any time, unless the Personal Information is necessary for us to fulfil our reasonable business or legal obligations. We will respect your decision, but we may not be able to provide you with certain products and services if we do not have the necessary Personal Information.


We will not, as a condition to the supply of a product or service, require you to consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of Personal Information beyond that required to fulfill legitimate purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. We collect, use and disclose information that we believe is reasonable for the above purposes or those purposes indicated to you at the time the information is collected.

4. How is your Personal Information used and shared?

We use your information to deliver the products or services you requested, improve customer service, improve our website, personalize your user experience, communicate with you about products or services that may be of interest to you, and manage our business.


In the unlikely event that this website or other parts of the company's assets are sold, customer information is considered part of the assets of the company, and as such, may be transferred to the new owners. In this event, you would be notified by e-mail or by notice on this website.


We do not share, sell, lend or lease any of the Personal Information that you choose to provide us (such as personal details or bank information) with anyone except to the extent it is necessary to process transactions or provide services that you have requested. We do share with affiliated third parties such as, but not limited to, banks, credit reporting agencies, financial service providers, collection agencies and finance companies. We will disclose your information to bailiffs, collection agencies, lawyers and others when collecting a debt owed to the Company, enforcing an agreement between you and the Company., ensuring or otherwise protecting Company interests in a security held by the Company or, realizing on security held by the Company.


We may also use your information to service our relationship with you, to prevent fraud, for the purposes of debt collection, to conduct our business, including better customer service and to market other products from the site, as well as, affiliated third parties. It may also be used for statistical analysis.


We will use, disclose, or retain your Personal Information for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and as permitted or required by law. This Personal Information will be destroyed, deleted, erased or converted to an anonymous form when reasonably appropriate.

5. How do we protect your Personal Information?

Your Personal Information shall be protected by security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.  We are committed to the protection of Personal Information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, duplication, use and modification regardless of the format in which the data is held.


All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Where you have chosen a password which enables you to access certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.


We will protect Personal Information disclosed to third parties by means of contractual agreements with respect to the confidentiality of the Personal Information and the purposes for which the Personal Information is to be used.


Your Personal Information shall not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or as required by law. Your information shall be retained only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes.


We limit who can see your Personal Information. We require employees to comply with information security safeguards. Only those employees, who require this Personal Information to provide services to you, have direct access to it.


Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted to our website; any transmission is at your own risk. Should we determine that the privacy breach does result in a real risk of significant harm to you, we will provide you with notification at the earliest opportunity. The notification will contain sufficient information to allow you to understand the significance of the breach and to take steps, if any are possible, to reduce the risk of harm that could result from it or to mitigate that harm. It shall also contain any other information required by law. We shall also report any breach of security safeguards to the Privacy Commissioner if it is reasonable in the circumstances to believe that the breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you.

6. How do I access my Personal Information?

Upon request received by the Company by email, individuals shall be informed of the existence, use, and disclosure of their Personal Information records and shall be given access to that information except where inappropriate. In most scenarios, data is collected anonymously and therefore we will not be able to identify/access individual-level data or responses.


An individual shall be able to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and have it amended as appropriate. Access will be given no later than 30 calendar days after receipt of the request. Costs to comply with the request are at the requestor’s expense. The individual will be informed of the approximate costs in advance. Refusal to provide access for valid reasons will be explained in writing to the individual. Some possible reasons for refusal are: access would reveal information about a third party; information is protected (e.g. solicitor-client privilege); access threatens life or security of another individual; access reveals confidential commercial information; access reveals information generated in the course of a formal dispute resolution process; access reveals information gathered for reporting a breach of an agreement or contravention of a law.

Requests must be made in writing or by e-mail. Individuals may be required to verify their identity in order to access their Personal Information. Any such documentation provided shall be used for verification purposes only.


The Company responds to requests for access to Personal Information within thirty (30) days of receipt of the request, or as may be permitted in accordance with applicable privacy legislation. A fee for reasonable costs incurred may be charged when responding to more complex requests. The individual will be informed of the applicable fee. Requested information will be provided in a form that is generally understandable. We will be as specific as possible when describing third parties to whom it has disclosed Personal Information about an individual. When it is not possible to provide a list of the organizations to which it has actually disclosed information, we will provide a list of organizations to which it is likely to have disclosed information.

7. Minors

We do not knowingly target our services or collect information on persons under 18 years of age.

8. Visiting our website from outside Canada

The website is governed by the laws of Canada and is intended for the enjoyment of residents of Canada only. We make no representation that the website is governed by or operated in accordance with the laws of any other nation.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may amend our Client Privacy Policy from time to time. If it changes at some point in the future, we will publish the changes on the version posted on our website. Such changes will take effect immediately upon posting. Where the changes may affect you in a particular way, and you have a (consumer) credit contract with us, we will notify you if required by applicable law.
